If (and especially what) is hell?

I was researching postal codes, and cross checking with Yahoo Maps. I ran into Hell, Michigan, in Gregory and Pinckey. It does not seem to have a zip code USPS. Is it unincorporated territory? Part any other city (as Pinckey)? A neighborhood? Or what? I plugged in an address in Google Maps, but I Pinckey. Just to confuse the hand is often the use of a card ad hoc reduction of Michigan with fingers pointing upward. But Pinckey is not anywhere near fingers. It is firmly in the palm. If Michigan had a place called "language", I'm sure it would be in a city or county at least called "Plays", geographically speaking. very funny guy. But I really want to know if there is an official position of the place. Is there a mayor? At Hall? A Coke machine? What? Thank you Chris. I do not know why I did not find the Wiki page in my research.

Hell, Michigan is an unincorporated community in Putnam Township of Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community is close the border with Washtenaw County, about 15 miles northwest of Ann Arbor. Hell is located five miles west of Pinckney via road Patterson Lake. The community is served by the post office with ZIP code 48169 Pinckney. The unofficial population is 266.
